Last post ever...

I've given it a lot of thought and, much as I've enjoyed writing this blog, I think it's time to call it a day. When I first arrived in Dublin in 2009 I was very much a country mouse discovering what I still believe to be one of the most exciting cities in the world. But over the last year and a half, I feel that I've become if not a native, then somehow a citizen! I belong here now. And that's not all. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I got engaged to be married! Everything is different, and I think that would-be visitors to Dublin would benefit more from a fresh view. I hope you've enjoyed reading. And do come to Dublin. It's a wonderful place to visit, and it's so easy to feel at home here. There's always lots to do and a warm welcome.

And if you don't believe me, come and see for yourselves :-)

A friend and I are heading to Ireland soon for the first time. You`ve really helped us get acquainted with the city and for that we truly thank you! We are so excited to fly in on Tuesday and because of you have loads ideas of all the things we want to do and see.

I am also a fellow Canadian currently living in Sweden and although the place is different, I`ve found I could relate to some of the struggles and adjustment of living in a new place that you talked about and that`s been very comforting. I believe I was one of many reading along and hoping you and Bepe would get together! I`m sad to see your writing stop, but am glad to see it end on such a happy note. All the best to you!

Hey towniegirl,

I had hoped you would come back, but alas it is not to be so!

I have followed your blog since just after you arrived in the Fair city. Been there twice myself and I found your tips and suggestions invaluable for when I return.

I took special interest in your adventures because I am a fellow Canadian. When are you going to bring Bepe to Canada?

I miss your posts already. Thank you for a unique and fun way to experience a beautiful city. Best of luck to you and Bepe!

Congratulations on your engagement. Please don't leave. I have read all your blog and it is so good. I don't want to miss reading it....

Like I said... you should write a book.

What a pity. I enjoyed reading your blogs since 2009. Hey, engagement and marriage doesn't have to be the end of everything else!
